The Rekomi app for Stripe
The Rekomi app for the Stripe Dashboard, the same authorization the dashboard's Connect Stripe button uses. A different entry point to the same native Stripe tracking, not a separate processor.
The Rekomi app for Stripe is how the dashboard's Connect Stripe button links your account: one native Stripe authorization covers sales tracking and the in-Stripe panels together.
The Rekomi app for Stripe puts your affiliate program where your revenue already lives: inside the Stripe Dashboard. You can see which affiliate referred a customer, attribute or re-attribute a sale, approve, adjust, or void a commission, claw back on a refund, issue a credit or comp a renewal, edit per-product commission rates, and jump to your payouts in Rekomi, all without leaving Stripe.
This is a pathway to the same native Stripe tracking, not a new payment processor. The sale and refund events still reach Rekomi over the Stripe rail, and the affiliate is still named by the attribution Rekomi captures. If you have not connected Stripe yet, installing the app IS the connection: the dashboard's Connect Stripe button opens this app's authorization, and approving it starts your sale and refund events flowing (see Stripe sales tracking for how tracking works end to end).
What the app does
Stripe Apps render Stripe's own components on a fixed set of Dashboard viewports, so the app surfaces affiliate context exactly where you already work:
- Customer detail. See whether a customer was referred, by which affiliate, on which campaign, the conversion state, and attributed revenue to date. Attribute or re-attribute the customer to an affiliate with a searchable picker, or clear the attribution.
- Invoice and subscription detail. See the commission amount, the affiliate, and the status for each invoice. Approve, adjust, or void the commission inline.
- Payment and charge detail. See the attribution and commission for a charge, and claw it back with a reason if you need to.
- Product detail. View and edit the per-product commission rule from the Stripe product page.
- Issue a reward. Credit a customer's balance or comp their next renewal directly from the customer view.
- Drawer and home overview. A persistent leaderboard: top affiliates, attributed revenue this period, pending payouts, and recent conversions.
- Payout run. Review and approve pending commissions and preview the payout from a focused view, then hand off to Rekomi (already signed in) to run it.
- Open in Rekomi. Every deep-link lands you in Rekomi already signed in, for the heavier configuration that has no Stripe viewport (the full campaign builder, the affiliate roster, deep reporting and exports, payout onboarding and tax forms, and billing).
Money-moving actions (clawback, void, issue a credit, run a payout) are gated behind a confirmation step.
How to install
Installing takes three steps:
- In Rekomi, open the Connect payment gateway step of setup and click Connect Stripe; it opens the app's authorization.
- Approve the requested permissions. Rekomi asks for the minimal grant needed to read attribution and write commission metadata, coupons, promotion codes, and the per-product rules described above.
- The app opens its setup view. Onboarding is automatic in the common cases (see below); for most merchants there is nothing else to do.
The app installs into both Stripe sandbox and live accounts; note that Rekomi's production service records live events only, so test-mode sales will not appear as conversions.
How onboarding works
Onboarding is federated: the app treats your authenticated Stripe identity as the sign-in, so you usually do not type a password.
- Returning install. If this Stripe account is already the one connected to a Rekomi workspace, the app links to that workspace and signs you in.
- Unresolved account. Email matching alone never links you into an existing workspace: when the app cannot resolve your Stripe account to a workspace, you sign in to Rekomi once (with a verified email) and pick a workspace you own that has no sales source connected yet, or create a new one; after that the link is permanent.
- New to Rekomi. Create a fresh workspace during that same step, with your email pre-filled. You start on a 14-day free trial.
The guardrail here is deliberate: the app resolves a workspace only from the attested Stripe account itself, never from an email match, so a Stripe teammate whose email happens to match yours cannot enter an existing workspace.
Billing stays in Rekomi. Stripe has no app billing API, so your Rekomi subscription, trial, and plan are managed in Rekomi (reached by a deep-link from the app). The app itself is free to install.
Connection and console in one
The app is two things at once: the connection that delivers your sale and refund events to Rekomi, and a management surface inside the Stripe Dashboard for the day-to-day actions above. Attribution still works the way it always has: the affiliate is named by the click metadata stamped at checkout (Install on Stripe) or by a coupon code.
- The app's grant delivers sales and refunds to Rekomi.
- The app's panels are the in-Stripe console for attribution, commissions, and payout handoff.
You do not choose a new "processor." Stripe is your native processor either way; the app is the authorized connection plus a place to drive the program from. The same webhook events, the same attribution, and the same commission ledger are behind everything.
FAQ
Does installing the app change how my sales are tracked? No. The app's authorization IS the tracking connection: your sale and refund events flow to Rekomi through it, attribution works exactly as documented, and the in-Stripe panels come along with the same single install.
Do I need a Rekomi account? You need a Rekomi workspace, but you usually do not create one by hand. If you are new to Rekomi, the app provisions one from your verified Stripe identity and starts your 14-day trial. If you already have one, the app links to it.
Does the app move my payouts? No. Affiliate payouts still flow through Stripe Connect transfers (or Rekomi's Stripe Express rail), exactly as they do without the app. The app's payout-run view is a convenient place to review and trigger a payout; it does not change where the money goes or who holds it. Rekomi never holds your money or your affiliates' money.
Is the app a new payment processor? No. It is a pathway to the same native Stripe tracking. Your processor is still Stripe.
Does installing the app require theme or checkout changes? No. The app runs inside the Stripe Dashboard. Affiliate attribution still comes from your existing setup (Stripe Connect plus, where relevant, the affiliate-id subscription metadata).
