Lemon Squeezy has the most complete built-in affiliate feature of any merchant of record: real per-affiliate rates, its own payout system, the works. And yet picking the best affiliate software for Lemon Squeezy in 2026 is genuinely harder than it looks, because the decision hangs on two fee structures that look identical at a glance and behave completely differently, plus one acquisition. Stripe bought Lemon Squeezy, migration paths to Stripe Managed Payments are being built, and where your affiliate program lives suddenly matters a lot.
I’ll come clean right away: Rekomi, one of the four options here, is the one I created, so I’m not unbiased. That’s why I’m starting with real credit to the built-in hub, which is honestly good. Every number in this article comes from Lemon Squeezy’s own documentation or each vendor’s live pricing, checked this week.
TL;DR for busy founders:
Rekomi: full program layer, fees charged on commissions instead of on orders, payouts and tax forms handled, and the program survives a move to Stripe. From $29/mo.
Lemon Squeezy’s Affiliate Hub: built in, capable, and LS pays your affiliates for you – at 3% of every referred order, with the Stripe question unanswered.
Sled: $19/mo flat (free to 10 affiliates) if you’ll send affiliate payments yourself.
Three numbers to understand before choosing anything
This is the part I’d want someone to hand me on one page, because these three facts decide the whole comparison. All three come straight from Lemon Squeezy’s docs.
1. The hub’s 3% is charged on the order, not the commission. Lemon Squeezy charges “a small 3% fee for each order referred by an affiliate,” added to the normal 5% + 50¢ platform fee. Rekomi also charges 3% – but on the affiliate payout. Same number, very different base, and this is my favorite piece of math in the whole niche. Here’s how it works on a $100 sale with a 25% commission: the hub’s fee is 3% of $100, so $3.00; Rekomi’s is 3% of the $25 commission, so $0.75. Four times apart, on every referred order, renewals included. At $5,000/mo of affiliate-driven sales, that’s roughly $150/mo versus $37.50/mo for the same program.
2. Your affiliates pay too, and they wait. On the hub, commissions are held 30 days, payouts are only created on the 1st and 15th and paid on the 14th and 28th, and a 2% fee is deducted from each referral on top of the payout processor’s own charges (PayPal takes $0.25 inside the US, 2% capped at $20 outside), with everything paid in USD. So a new affiliate’s first commission can take about six weeks to arrive, trimmed twice on the way. None of that is scandalous, but affiliates compare programs, and payout experience is a real recruiting factor.
3. The hub is not portable, and Lemon Squeezy is mid-migration. Stripe acquired Lemon Squeezy, and LS’s own 2026 update announced that migration paths to Stripe Managed Payments are being built; the banner is on their site right now. Stripe Managed Payments doesn’t include an affiliate hub today, and Lemon Squeezy hasn’t published what happens to hub programs after a migration. A program that lives inside the hub has no export path to anywhere; a program on independent software moves wherever your billing goes.
With those three on the table, here’s the actual field. Four options work with Lemon Squeezy today; everything else on the market doesn’t (more on that below).
| Option | Price | Fee basis | Who pays affiliates | Program survives a Stripe move? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rekomi | From $29/mo + 3% of payouts | Commission | Rekomi, automatically, 165+ countries, tax forms included | Yes (native Stripe App) |
| LS Affiliate Hub | Included; 3% per referred order | Whole order | Lemon Squeezy (bank/PayPal, USD, 30-day hold) | Unanswered by LS |
| Refgrow | $29/mo flat | None (flat) | Automated via your PayPal/Wise | Yes (also supports Stripe) |
| Sled | Free to 10 affiliates, then $19/mo | None (flat) | You, manually; Sled keeps the ledger | Yes (also supports Stripe) |
Rekomi

Rekomi supports Lemon Squeezy natively: you create one API key, paste it in, and Rekomi validates it, creates the webhook on your store, and confirms it registered, with nothing to configure in the Lemon Squeezy webhook UI. One-time orders, subscription renewals, and refunds then credit and debit the right affiliate automatically.
What’s great: the fee basis from number 1 above, plus the full program layer the hub doesn’t have: six commission models (revenue share, per-sale, per-acquisition, per-lead, per-click, hybrid) as percentages or fixed amounts, recurring for whatever duration you choose, per-affiliate custom rates, multiple campaigns, public signup and landing pages for recruiting, fraud screening, and in-platform messaging. Two details I’m particularly happy with: commissions are calculated on the pre-tax amount, so you never pay an affiliate a share of the VAT Lemon Squeezy collected for the taxman, and affiliates keep 100% of their commission: Rekomi takes no cut from creators; the only deduction is the payout rail’s own cost, passed through at no margin.
The costs, all of them: $29/mo Starter, $49/mo Growth, $99/mo Pro (14-day trial), plus 3% of affiliate payouts. Payouts and tax forms are inside that price: Rekomi pays your affiliates in 165+ countries (Stripe Express direct deposits in 42, bank deposits in 60 more, PayPal in 66 more), collects W-9s and W-8s, and files 1099-NECs.
Pick it when: affiliates are a real channel for you, you want the recruiting and fraud tooling, and you’d like the Stripe migration to be a billing decision instead of an affiliate-program crisis. Rekomi runs on Lemon Squeezy today and on Stripe (native Stripe App) tomorrow, so the program just comes along. The trade-offs: no free plan, and if the hub’s feature set already covers you, the hub is cheaper at very low volume. Setup walkthrough: the Lemon Squeezy affiliate program guide.
The Lemon Squeezy Affiliate Hub

Credit where it’s due: this is the best native affiliate feature any merchant of record ships. You can set commission rates per affiliate and per product, approve or reject each referral by hand, share creatives, and see full click and referral histories. And the part most third-party tools can’t match: Lemon Squeezy pays your affiliates itself, to bank accounts or PayPal in hundreds of countries, with invoices generated for each payout.
What’s great: zero setup (it’s a tab in your dashboard), zero monthly cost, per-affiliate rate control, and done-for-you payouts. For a small program with patient affiliates, that’s a lot of value for free.
The costs, all of them: 3% of every referred order for you; for your affiliates, a 2% deduction per referral, processor fees, USD-only payouts, a 30-day hold, and the twice-monthly cycle with a $10 minimum. Run number 1’s math at your volume before calling the hub free.
Pick it when: you’re testing whether affiliates move the needle at all, your volume is small enough that 3% of orders is pocket change, and you’ve made peace with the migration question. Which, to be fair, might resolve fine! But it’s a question you’re choosing to carry.
Refgrow

Refgrow publishes real Lemon Squeezy integration docs (webhook-based tracking with per-product rates and per-affiliate overrides), and its calling card is the embedded dashboard: one script tag puts the whole affiliate experience inside your own app instead of on a separate portal.
What’s great: $29/mo flat with unlimited affiliates and unlimited affiliate revenue, no transaction fees on any basis, automated payouts through your connected PayPal or Wise, and multi-provider support (Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Dodo Payments alongside Lemon Squeezy), so it also clears the portability bar.
The costs, all of them: $29/mo covers 1 program; $49/mo for 3. Payouts draw from your own PayPal or Wise balance, and tax forms stay your job.
Pick it when: you want flat pricing with no percentage anywhere and the affiliate program living inside your product’s UI.
Sled

Sled is the newest tool here, built webhook-first for the merchant-of-record platforms, Lemon Squeezy included. The engineering priorities are right: recurring commissions on renewals, automatic refund clawback, idempotent event handling, and self-referral blocking on by default.
What’s great: the price. Free with the full feature set up to 10 affiliates, then $19/mo flat (or $99/yr) for unlimited, with no commission cut of any kind.
The costs, all of them: your time. Sled’s docs are refreshingly blunt that it doesn’t move money: you pay each affiliate yourself from your own PayPal, Wise, bank, or wallet, click Mark paid, and handle any tax paperwork. Fine at 5 affiliates, a monthly chore at 50.
Pick it when: you’re early, cost-sensitive, and happy to be your own payout department for a while.
Who’s not on this list
Rewardful, Tolt, PromoteKit, FirstPromoter, and Affonso: as of this writing, none of them lists Lemon Squeezy among its supported platforms. The reason is the merchant-of-record architecture again: your customers pay Lemon Squeezy, not your Stripe account, so tools built to watch a payment account have nothing to watch. If you’re comparing those tools anyway, they’re covered honestly in the Rewardful alternatives roundup; just know they can’t track a Lemon Squeezy checkout.
Best affiliate software for Lemon Squeezy: FAQ
Is the Lemon Squeezy Affiliate Hub free?
No, not really. There’s no subscription, but Lemon Squeezy charges 3% of every affiliate-referred order on top of the platform fee, and deducts 2% from each referral on the affiliate’s side plus payout processing fees. On a program doing $5,000/mo in referred sales, the merchant side alone is about $150/mo.
Why do Lemon Squeezy affiliate payouts take so long?
By design: referral commissions are held 30 days (refund protection), then payouts are created on the 1st and 15th and paid on the 14th and 28th, subject to a $10 minimum. A commission earned on the 2nd of a month can reasonably arrive around six weeks later. Independent tools control their own schedules; on Rekomi, payouts run when the brand runs them, including automatically.
Will the Affiliate Hub survive the move to Stripe Managed Payments?
Nobody outside Stripe can say. What’s verifiable today: Lemon Squeezy announced migration paths to Stripe Managed Payments are being built, Stripe Managed Payments doesn’t include an affiliate feature, and Lemon Squeezy hasn’t published a plan for hub programs. If your program matters, portability is worth pricing in now.
Can affiliates keep their history if I switch tools?
Partially. Affiliates, links, and go-forward commissions move cleanly (Rekomi has migration importers for existing programs); historical referral records generally stay in the old system, so keep an export for your books. The earlier you switch, the less history there is to leave behind.
Do hub commissions include the VAT Lemon Squeezy collects?
Check your own numbers on this one: as a merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy collects tax inside the charge, and any tool that calculates commissions on the tax-inclusive total is overpaying your affiliates. Rekomi computes Lemon Squeezy commissions on the pre-tax amount by default.
The decision in one sentence
If affiliates are an experiment, use the hub and revisit in six months; if they’re a channel, put the program on software that charges you on commissions rather than orders and that moves with you when your billing does. My write-up of running a Lemon Squeezy program on Rekomi covers the one-key setup end to end – it’s about ten minutes, and the math section of this article is sitting right there in your dashboard afterward as real numbers. Whichever way you go, decide before the Stripe migration decides for you!
