Is the invoice a real invoice?
Yes. Every proposal carries a unique invoice number and a printable invoice issued by Uplup Inc d/b/a Rekomi on behalf of you, itemizing your amount and the brand-side service fee. It stays available after acceptance and updates its status as the deal is paid and released.
What protects me from a brand that doesn't pay?
The money lands in escrow before you start the work; a proposal that is never funded is just a proposal. After you deliver, the brand confirms and releases, or the escrow auto-releases 7 days later if they take no action.
What protects the brand?
Their money is not released until they confirm delivery (or the 7-day window passes after you mark the work delivered). They also get a proper invoice, a message thread with you, and Rekomi handles the creator's tax forms.
Can I quote in my own currency?
Yes. Quote your rate in any of 31 supported currencies (EUR, GBP, JPY, and more). The proposal, email, and invoice show your currency; the brand's escrow charge settles in US dollars at the market exchange rate when they fund, with both amounts and the rate itemized on the invoice.
Can I add a commission on top of the flat rate?
Yes. A proposal can include an ongoing percentage of tracked sales (one-time or recurring for a set number of months) on top of the upfront amount, tracked automatically through your Rekomi referral link.
