Course launches don't fit ecommerce affiliate software.
How Rekomi sees it
Cohort dates, enrollment windows, drip pricing, founder rates, refund windows. Rekomi handles all of it without custom code — and the network of educators promoting educators turns a launch into a movement.
Higher than ecommerce by design
Configurable per campaign
Cohorts pay big and pay fast
Others integrate via our S2S tracking API
Four ways courses get paid. Four ways affiliates earn.
A $5,000 cohort and a $20/mo membership both work in Rekomi with the right commission model — and you can run both from one account, with different rules per campaign.
Cohort drop
Limited enrollment, fixed dates, premium pricing. Affiliates earn a flat commission per enrollment, typically 15–25% of revenue.
- Typical commission
- $200–$1,000 one-time
- Example platforms
- Build in Public Cohort, Maven cohorts, Lenny's Newsletter cohorts
Recurring membership
Monthly or annual subscription for ongoing access. Affiliates earn recurring revshare every month the member stays.
- Typical commission
- 20–30% recurring
- Example platforms
- Skool communities, Circle memberships, Substack paid subs
Self-paced course
One-time purchase, evergreen access. Affiliates earn a percentage on each new enrollment. Refund window applies.
- Typical commission
- 25–40% one-time
- Example platforms
- Teachable, Podia, Gumroad courses
Hybrid (course + community)
Initial course purchase plus ongoing community access. Pay flat commission on the course, recurring on the membership.
- Typical commission
- $200 + 25% recurring
- Example platforms
- Mighty Networks bundles, course-plus-coaching stacks
From launch announcement to refund-window close — automated.
Five phases. Each one handled by the platform so you stay teaching, not configuring. Most teams have their first affiliate-driven enrollment the same day they connect Stripe.
Connect Stripe, set the cohort window
Wherever your platform routes payments — Maven, Podia, Skool, Circle — that Stripe account OAuths into Rekomi in one click. Set campaign start/end dates so sales outside the window auto-decline gracefully.
Pick a commission model per cohort
One-time for a $4,997 drop. Recurring for a $99/mo membership. Hybrid for a course+community stack. Configure the rate per campaign — many launches pay 50%+ on the first cohort to bootstrap distribution, then taper.
Invite students, attract creators
Add existing students who want to promote — historically the strongest channel for course launches. Or open the curated creator network and find newsletter writers and educators with audiences that overlap yours.
Cohort-aware attribution does the heavy lifting
Clicks attribute first-party. Sales inside the program window pay normally. Sales outside auto-decline with a friendly affiliate message. Drip pricing, waitlists, founder rates — every shape is supported.
Commissions approve, payouts run
Default 14 days for courses, 7 for memberships, configurable per campaign. Refunds inside the window auto-cancel the commission with no clawback friction. Stripe Connect Express deposits the rest.
A single cohort referral can pay an affiliate $1,247.
Cohorts pay big and pay fast. A $4,997 cohort with a 25% commission yields $1,249.25 per enrollment. Most affiliates promoting cohorts have an audience already interested in the topic, so conversion rates are much higher than generic affiliate programs.
Memberships stack the other way. A $99/mo membership with 25% recurring across 18 months of average retention yields $445.50 lifetime per member. An affiliate driving 5 members per launch ladder builds compounding income.

Refund window default 14 days. Refunds inside the window cancel the commission cleanly — no clawback round-trip with the affiliate.
Works wherever your courses already live.
The attribution model attaches to Stripe Customers and Subscriptions. As long as your course platform uses Stripe under the hood, Rekomi plugs in cleanly. No replatforming required.
Newsletter writers. Educators. Cohort alumni.
The Rekomi network is built for the creator economy. Audiences that overlap yours, vetted by us, ready to apply to your program.
Course-creator questions.
Plain answers to the things course creators actually ask. If something is missing, it's not because we're hiding it — ping us.
What if my course has a fixed price, not a subscription?
Use one-time commissions. Set a flat $100 or 25% of $2,000, and the affiliate gets paid when the student enrolls and the refund window passes. Default refund window is 14 days for courses, configurable per campaign. Refunds inside the window auto-cancel the commission with no clawback friction.
Do you handle cohort enrollment windows?
Yes. Each campaign has optional start and end dates. Sales outside the window auto-decline (with a friendly message to the affiliate). Inside the window, sales attribute normally. Useful for Maven-style cohorts that open and close on specific dates.
Does this work with Skool, Circle, or other community platforms?
If your community is Stripe-billed under the hood (Skool's Stripe option, Circle.so's paid spaces, etc.), Rekomi plugs in. The attribution model uses the Stripe Customer + Subscription as its anchor, so the underlying platform UI is irrelevant.
What about Kajabi or Teachable Free plans that do not use Stripe?
Kajabi and Teachable Free plans use their own payment processor. Rekomi works with their Stripe integrations (Kajabi Pro+ via Stripe, Teachable Pro via Stripe Connect). On non-Stripe configurations, we cannot attribute reliably. Consider their built-in affiliate features for those tiers.
Can I pay course affiliates more than 50%?
Yes, no engineering work needed. Many cohort launches pay 50%+ on the first cohort to bootstrap distribution, then drop to 25-30% for subsequent enrollments. Configure the rate per campaign; set higher rates for partner-tier affiliates if you want.
How do affiliates get paid?
Rekomi runs affiliate payouts for you. Stripe Express direct deposit is live in 40+ countries; PayPal payouts are rolling out for more regions. For US affiliates earning $600 or more in a calendar year, Rekomi provides a 1099-NEC candidate list with CSV export; you file the 1099s through Track1099, Tax1099, or your CPA. Rekomi does not file on your behalf.
