Common questions.
Is the Stripe app a new payment processor?
No. It is a pathway to the same native Stripe tracking, not a separate processor. Stripe stays your processor; the app adds a management surface inside the Stripe Dashboard on top of the tracking you already have.
Is installing the app all I need to connect Stripe?
Yes. Installing the app is the connection: one authorization covers sales and refund tracking plus the in-Stripe console. There is no separate OAuth grant to set up, and uninstalling the app from your Stripe Dashboard is how you disconnect.
Do I need a Rekomi account to install it?
You need a Rekomi workspace, but you usually do not create one by hand. New merchants are auto-provisioned a workspace on a 14-day trial from their verified Stripe identity; existing customers are linked to their workspace by verified email.
Does the app move or hold my payouts?
No. Affiliate payouts still flow through Stripe transfers or Rekomi's Stripe Express payouts, exactly as they do without the app. The payout-run view is a convenient place to review and trigger a payout; it does not change where the money goes, and Rekomi never holds your money.
Where do I install it?
From the Stripe App Marketplace: marketplace.stripe.com/apps/rekomi (or search for Rekomi in your Stripe Dashboard). Click Install and approve the minimal permissions; one authorization links your Stripe account to Rekomi. The app installs into both Stripe sandbox and live accounts.
Where does billing happen?
In Rekomi. Stripe has no app billing API, so your Rekomi subscription, trial, and plan are managed in Rekomi, reached by a deep-link from the app. The app itself is free to install.
