Every CRM API has quirks. Rekomi's integration code was built and audited against the live ActiveCampaigndocs, these are the ones you'd otherwise hit yourself.
ActiveCampaign requires three separate API calls (contact + list + tag) and there's no transactional wrapper. If the contact call succeeds but list-add fails, Rekomi marks the sync `Retrying` and re-fires the failed call only (the contact upsert is idempotent so retrying the whole sequence is safe).
Every ActiveCampaign account has its own API base URL (typically `your-account.api-us1.com`). Rekomi's connect form requires both the URL and the key, paste only one and the test call surfaces the missing field with a copy-button hint pointing at the Developer page.
If a tag name doesn't exist yet in your ActiveCampaign account, Rekomi creates it via `POST /api/3/tags` and then applies. This means typo'd campaign tags will create new tags in AC, Rekomi's per-campaign overrides UI lints for whitespace and obvious typos before saving.

Yes, ActiveCampaign runs its own affiliate program (20% recurring lifetime) for promoting AC. That's separate from running YOUR affiliate program. Rekomi is the layer that lets you do that, with ActiveCampaign as the email + automation home for your affiliate cohort.
Can ActiveCampaign track affiliate sales?
ActiveCampaign's site-tracking pixel tracks page visits + tags contacts, but it does not handle commission calculation, click attribution, or affiliate-link generation. What's the minimum AC plan for Rekomi?
API access ships on Plus, Professional, and Enterprise plans. Lite tier doesn't include the API. If you're already running automations with custom fields, you're on Plus or higher.
Will Rekomi create new tags in my AC account?
Yes, when a campaign override specifies a tag that doesn't exist yet, Rekomi creates it via the AC API and then applies. To avoid clutter, define your account-level affiliate tags first in AC, then reference them by exact name in Rekomi.
